Our focus is to bring local produce and ingredients from farm to table, and add to -and combine- a bit along the way. When you search for the freshest carrots, the most sustainable meat, local honey and so on, food becomes an expression of time and place. We let the seasons and the food sources guide us and we follow happily. We hope to bring to our clients, friends and family the exquisite result of this journey. Honest, pure food where the ingredient is its own simple force.
We started this blog because deer hollow is growing and we wanted to share the adventures with our friends.

Brooke Desprez
Brooke discovered her appreciation and enjoyment of food while traveling in her 20’s in the South Pacific. Years of commitment to the craft of cooking and baking have led her to found Deer Hollow catering. She has created inspired meals for two to food narratives for hundreds; always keeping in mind the finest most sustainable food sources. Her love of food and deep consideration of the personal experience and interaction with this food has led clients such as Donna Karan to praise her creativity. Recently she is branching out to sell some of her creations in local stores and some talk of opening a small restaurant is in the works.
